Adverse Events Following Immunization Report and Vaccine Effectiveness of Sinovac. An Interim Report

Vaccination is a prevention of transmission and spread in order to establish herd immunity against the Covid�19 pandemic. Indonesia chose Sinovac vaccine, which uses weakened viruses. The objective study was to measure Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) 24-72 hours post-vaccination its effect at three months after vaccination. An online survey distributed 1574 subjects who received first dose, 530 respondents (response rate 33.6%) answered questionnaire were sent form again for second dose, 249 responded 46.9%). From dose: 322 female (60.9%), 207 male (39.1%). There 22 had fever on day only five day. In addition, 147 (27.8%) felt pain injection site, nausea 30 (5.7%), vomiting six persons, bloating 35 (6.6%), diarrhea ten (1.9%). Fifty-nine got mild adverse events did nothing ease their events, 18 took self-medication, 15 consulted the doctors vaccination site. Only one respondent went nearby hospital further therapy.
